Focusing on what reality and change means to you is what builds the foundation of our therapeutic relationship.
I’m Taylor, an LLMSW therapist with a focus on helping individuals aged 14-35, as well as couples, heal from trauma and navigate personal growth. Before and after earning my Master of Social Work from the University of Michigan, I dedicated my career to supporting clients through a trauma and attachment-informed framework. My approach is grounded in understanding how past experiences, especially trauma, impact current relationships and emotional well-being. While a diagnosis offers a framework to understand behavior, I take a brain based approach that focuses on you and your goals for change, rather than your diagnosis.

We all have strengths and gifts we have yet to discover. Often, it takes challenging times in our life for us to find these hidden aspects of ourselves. Such challenges include (but are not limited to) feelings of deep sadness, anxiety, anger, frustration, exhaustion, unexpected loss, a sense of being stuck in life, or dissatisfaction with the quality of our relationships.

Life is often really tough. My goal is to provide a safe space for my clients to share their story, their struggles, their victories and their goals so they can feel less alone and also have a therapeutic partner to sort through what they'd like to understand better about themselves in order to take new steps towards wellness and growth. Being understood by a compassionate person is strengthening, and so is having a therapeutic partner to help you think about what you're thinking about and what you'd rather be focusing on.

Many women and moms go through times in her life when she may asks herself, "Is this my life?" Where the many hats she wears seem to overwhelm her true, beautiful essence. Can you relate? To having a sense that life is taking you for a ride instead of you being the driver! When past dreams and ideals seem far away or nonexistent.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
