| español I am dedicated to helping teens, adolescents, and adults find hope and insight, to develop the confidence to form a more resilient mindset. Life can present issues that may feel impossible to overcome. People do the best they can to manage these problems but negative thoughts, and anxious or depressed feelings, can lead to using unhealthy ways to avoid these feelings. These emotions let us know that we need to do something else, whether it includes learning healthy coping skills, talking things out, or healing from trauma. I work closely with clients to help them regain clarity and control of their lives.
I utilize Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, EMDR, and expressive arts therapy methods. I also incorporate assessments to gain a deeper understanding of the challenging thoughts and feelings the client experiences. The overall counseling goals are developed based on the person's strengths and their unique needs.
