I consider myself a psychoeducational therapist. I use a collaborative teaching style in therapy. I specialize in working with couples, parenting, postpartum, ADHD, anxiety, life transitions, grief, loss and trauma. My preferred therapeutic perspectives are Systems, Analysis, CBT, Mindfulness, Self Compassion, IFS, and Narrative. I am trauma informed.
Something that makes me unique as a therapist is that I incorporate a lot of psychoeducation into therapy. I work from a teaching model as a collaborator to get you the skills and information you need to decide what works best for you and when to use it. I love to laugh, and humor is my favorite coping mechanism. I give homework and hand outs.
