Growing up, you had to deny parts of yourself in order to be loved. Maybe you grew up in a family, culture, or religious background that rejected aspects of your identity, so you learned to repress or abandon parts of yourself in order to fit in. In adulthood, you find yourself struggling to form deep connections with yourself and others. On your hardest days, you might even question whether you’re lovable at all, or if maybe you’re too broken to ever fully feel whole.
As a queer person from a non-affirming religious background, I recognize how overwhelming it can be to start unlearning internalized negative beliefs about ourselves. I strive to provide a warm and nonjudgmental therapeutic relationship where you feel understood and empowered to explore trauma and deeply-ingrained patterns that can get in your way.
