I feel blessed to be a counselor for the last 18 years while raising my own two children. Often there are stumbling blocks in life that an individual has to approach and handle in daily life. My favorite approaches utilized into my therapy is EMDR(Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).This therapy helps one to heal from symptoms of emotional distress resulting from trauma and disturbing life experiences. Another approach utilized in therapy is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which helps one learn how to change unhealthy thought patterns.
Counseling can be valuable in all stages of one's life. It improves your well being, and clarity of mind with a better understanding of yourself and others. Counseling can provide improved confidence and decision making skills. Counseling can assist you in the ability to manage stress more effectively as you cope with common life challenges.
