Do you find yourself making a list of people you care about, only to find your name not on it? Maybe in the course of caring for others and being their "shoulder to cry on", you take their problems to heart, to try and lighten their load. A focus on their problems ensue, but before you know it, you're always tense, not giving your all at work or at home. You just want to go back to your "normal life", but find it difficult, almost impossible to do so. I am specialized in Cognitive Processing Therapy to address PTSD, as well as certified in both Grief Therapy and a Certified Postpartum Mental Health Clinician.
As a parent of premature children with health difficulties and a spouse to a First Responder, I understand "not having enough time in the day" to make yourself a priority. I offer a safe place to process the trauma, in an office that is not over stimulating for the senses. I incorporate several treatment interventions, tailored to what you need at that time.
With a combination of first-hand experience and clinical knowledge, I can help navigate you through these difficult times. I have numerous treatment approaches, tailored to each client’s needs.
