I entered the counseling field because of the first-hand traumas I've experienced in my own life. I fully understand the effects of negative self-talk and distorted thinking that can impact an individual's life, and my hope is to be a helping hand to others through their journey.
As a black woman with a disability, the importance of intersectionality and its effects on our lives are near to my heart. My highest priority is being a counselor with cultural humility, compassion, and empathy toward others.
