I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Professional and Addiction Counselor in Rhode Island. Prior to obtaining my license to counsel, I have worked for 17 years as the Director of an inner-city childcare center. I am a full-time substance abuse counselor by day and work private practice as a part time endeavor. I am committed to helping individuals learn how to change what they can and manage what they can’t. The hardest thing for an individual to do is to know themselves and to change themselves. My calm and non-judgmental approach provides a safe space for vulnerability, healing, and positive change.
It has always been my goal just to simply help people and do so in a unbiased, supportive and empathic way. The ability to guide people through their journeys in life and watch them grow as a person is quite profound. My goal as a counselor is to help people live a fulfilling life that they want to be present for each day.
