My name is Melissa McKinney, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Doctorate in Applied Clinical Psychology based in Adel, Georgia. I work with clients 13 years and older, specializing in depression, anxiety, stress, and life transition issues. I primarily work with clients utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy in order to assist in identifying a life worth living and developing skills to obtain life goals and feel better overall. Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of populations and clientele.
I have found my approach to be the best fit for adolescents, young adults, and older adults dealing with stress and life transitions. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, and behavior management issues.
I work to help my clients build a strong foundation of effective skills in order for them to effectively manage emotions and navigate life transitions and stressors while also gaining confidence to advocate for themselves and their needs throughout their daily lives.
