I am so happy you are here! Navigating childhood can be difficult for both parents and children of all ages. I would love to help guide you and your child through these difficulties. My name is Melissa and I am an AMFT/APCC specializing in helping children and parents identify and navigate the big emotions that can be a part of growing up, including: anxiety, depression, and anger. With an undergraduate degree in psychology and child development and extensive experience in preschool and elementary school settings, I can help you and your child navigate relationships and your child's ever-evolving emotional states and development.
I use an integrative clinical approach that emphasizes Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I strongly believe that providing your child with coping skills at an early age can help your child thrive. I emphasize this, along with play therapy and a humanistic approach, in my practice.
