“Life is hard and it’s ok to scream about it”, is a quote I proudly sport on my water bottle, accompanied by a screaming possum. This absurd truth has resonated with most young clients I have worked with and you may feel the same regardless of age. We all need a little humor to cope with the twists and turns of life! I combine traditional and creative approaches to develop insight, resilience, and personal growth. My background in art therapy allows me to offer art processes to delve deeper than verbal expression may allow. I specialize in working with teens and young adults.
I focus on helping clients navigate anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral issues, strained or broken relationships with peers and family, and trauma related disorders. I combine expressive arts, mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and person-centered approaches to tailor interventions to meet individual needs.
In sessions, you will have my undivided and thoughtful attention. I believe a therapist’s role is to act as a guide, standing on the foundation of the therapeutic relationship, to collaborate on desired changes the client has identified in their life. Reach out to me today if you would like to find out if I would be a good fit to support you on your journey!
