I have 15 years of experience as an LCSW-C supporting, educating and holding emotional space for teens and their families. I have post graduate training Certification in Child and Adolescent Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) and a Certified Anxiety Treatment Professional. I am also trained as an ADHD/EF Academic Coach. I work colaboratively with adolescents, young adults and their families dealing with issues of anxiety, depression, parenting, family conflicts, sexuality, and childhood traumas. I partner with schools to support client with ADHD and educational issues. I am licensed in to provide therapyVA, OH, NC, MA, & FL.
I believe in meeting the client where they are and looking for therapeutic strategies that fit their lifestyle and background. Mental health is very personal, based on client experiences. I see therapy as a tool to help client identify strengths and teach effective coping strategies and skills they can apply to their lives now and for future struggles.
I consider myself fortunate to be able to work in a profession that I truly love and I consider a privilege to be invited into my clients' inner lives, and to travel this journey with them through healing, change, and self-empowerment. I see therapy as a process of identifying strengths and struggles and teaching clients to harness their own power.
