Supported Dining
Columbus Park offers a full range of supported dining experiences in both group settings and one-on-one. These therapeutic meal experiences are opportunities to work through any struggles that come up around food and/or meal time. We can work with you to normalize your eating, increase flexibility and reduce overall distress at mealtime. Support is customized to your needs specifically and can include group meals at Columbus Park, restaurant dining, meal selection support, and food shopping support.

DBT for eating disorders
Primary group objective is to decrease behaviors that interfere with quality of life. We work toward decreasing and ultimately, eradicating impulsive, suicidal, and self-injurious behaviors while enhancing one's ability to cope more effectively with difficult feelings. Disordered eating behaviors are primary targets of the work. Restriction, binging, purging, and/or abuse of exercise are closely tracked and skills for changing these behaviors are reinforced so that participants may effectively work toward balanced, healthful eating and self care. The group will cover all four of the DBT modules: core mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness.
