I am trained as a medical family therapist and enjoy working with individuals, couples, and families. Clients dealing with relationship issues, current and/or past family conflict, chronic / invisible illness, immune / autoimmune / sleep disorders, adjusting to new diagnoses, caregiver fatigue, and having to work when you are ill and/or grieving tend to find my approach both different and helpful. I have experienced these issues myself and am familiar with the challenges they create in our personal and professional lives. I focus on helping clients cope with these difficulties in the context of our most valued relationships.
I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. Trauma, grief, and loss are important parts of dealing with medical issues, relationships, and life in general. Although many of us have been impacted by these life experiences, it can be difficult to see how they show up in our lives, how they impact us, and/or what we can do about it.
I am an empathetic, down-to-earth therapist with a direct style and knowledge of how to help cope with relationship, medical, trauma, grief, loss, family, and life transition issues.
