I specialize in crisis management and emergency mental health, risk assessments, safety planning, self-harm, and suicidal ideation. I also have extensive experience in helping individuals and families manage symptoms related to anxiety, depression, personality disorders, bipolar disorder, psychosis, family or relationship stress, parenting stress, work stress, life transitions and adjustment, grief, and other life stressors.
You can expect our first visit to focus on what is bringing you to therapy, from there we will figure out the next best steps for your concerns. Some people only need a handful of visits to get through a stressor, other times they want long term care. I can help either way. Together, we will create a plan based around your needs.
Asking for help is hard! You don't have to know where to start, or what to expect. You don't even have to know if you want therapy. The feedback I hear most often is that I am real and easy to talk to. My priority is to remove any concern around starting therapy by creating an environment that feels supportive and easy.
