It takes strength and courage to reach out for help during difficult times. Perhaps you're feeling sad or anxious- maybe you feel as though you aren't living the life you were meant to lead, or the past is still having an effect on you. My role as a therapist is to provide support, encouragement, and clarity to understanding yourself. I will offer tools, strategies and resources to improve coping skills and make desired changes.
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years of experience providing treatment to adolescents, families, adults, and couples struggling with issues related to mental health and life stressors. As a graduate of Fordham University Advanced Standing Program, I use my education and many years of experience to assesthe needs and goals of each client.
I will modify a technique that is effective and comfortable for each individual. I use a client-centered approach, so that each individual feels safe and supported during their time in therapy. I encourage mindfulness to help with healing as well as, stress reduction. I utilize a variety of modalities with an emphasis on cognitive behavioral therapy.
