I am a Licensed Social Worker, Professional Counselor, and Nationally Certified as a Counselor. I have been practicing for almost 20 years as a Licensed Clinician. I have had the pleasure of working with various population groups, including, children, adolescence, adults, and geriatrics. I have provided counseling services remotely, on an outpatient basis, and inpatient treatment facilities. My goal is to help clients lessen stigma surrounding mental health and seeking treatment.
I have serviced clients dealing with mental health issues, such as, stress, depression, grief, trauma, substance use, anxiety, anger, post-traumatic stress, and a vast array of other mental health issues/challenges. I believe in treating all clients with compassion, respect, empathy, and sensitivity.
Lastly, I received my Bachelor of Social Work and master's in counseling, both from Jackson State University. i use interventions such as, Cognitive behavioral therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing, and Trauma Focused Approach.
