Hello! I am so happy you're here! My name is Melinda and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado and Florida. I specialize in working with children, teens, and adults who are experiencing trauma related issues, anxiety, depression, stress, attachment and low self-esteem. I approach therapy from a cognitive behavioral perspective when working with clients, however I incorporate techniques from various therapeutic modalities to meet each individual and family needs. I strive to keep my therapeutic environment a safe place without bias or judgment.
in addition to my private practice work, I have experience working in a non-profit community agency treating survivors of abuse and maltreatment, as well as working with families to heal from difficult situations and building attachment. I have provided individual and family counseling within this setting.
It is my passion to provide a safe and healing environment to all clients and to help with navigating through their difficult situations with the outmost of support. Through use of compassion, evidence based practices, and of course, humor, I hope to guide you through your healing journey!
