I graduated from Yale and then got my MD from Medical University of South Carolina. I completed my psychiatry residency at UNC Chapel Hill and worked in mental health clinics and later as Director of Psychiatry at Person Memorial Hospital. I enjoyed medication management but became most excited about the long lasting effects of psychotherapy. I have a great deal of experience caring for individuals with a wide variety of emotional and behavioral issues and I now want to focus my knowledge and insights on treating these issues with psychotherapy.
Life can feel overwhelming and we all need support. My desire is to provide quality care in a safe, respectful and compassionate environment where we can work collaboratively to promote healing and growth. Our sessions will be a space where you can speak openly without fear of judgment. A place to explore and process difficult thoughts and emotions.
I take a holistic approach and utilize a variety of interventions tailored for each individual's specific needs. Together we will work towards gaining balance and resilience. I look forward to joining you on a journey towards a richer, more meaningful life.
