I come to this profession with a drive to bring forth honesty, self-discovery, and self-compassion with each person I work with. At my core, I see therapy as a transformational process that helps people to become empowered and unburdened. Through a process of safely unearthing, re-wiring, and re-writing our lived experience, therapy can bring about a shift of perspective that can have a ripple effect of positive changes in someone's life. As your therapist, I use a psychodynamic, strengths based approach in our work together. I take this process and your time very seriously, as it can be a life changing investment in yourself.
I have an extensive background working in the field of addiction and mental health with people of all ages and backgrounds. I use Attachment Theory, Family Systems Theory, and Somatic Therapy tools to help my client's go deeper into their lived experience and make sense of what's troubling them. As a therapist I am genuine, warm, attentive, and intuitive.
It's a huge step to seek therapy and I know the process can sometimes be quite daunting and confusing. I invite you to reach out to me by phone or email for a free consult to see if we're a good fit in working with each other. If it doesn't feel right, I will happily give you other referrals for alternative therapuetic options.
