My name is Megan Seco (She/Her) and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) based in Long Beach, CA, and currently offering telehealth services. I work with adults and adolescents experiencing depression, anxiety, and trauma and specialize in working with the LGBTQ+, Neurodivergent, and BIPOC communities. I have found my style and approach is most effective for individuals who are struggling with depression, anxiety, life transitions, Trauma (CPTSD/PTSD), grief and loss, attachment, and codependency challenges. I often work with LGBTQ+, Neurodivergent, and individuals navigating within marginalized communities.
I approach therapy through an intersectional, feminist, and trauma-informed lens. As such, I often utilize acceptance and commitment, family systems and narrative, and therapeutic approaches, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My communication style is calm, warm, and personable. I often reflect on what the client is sharing and pride myself on my ability to listen with a non-judgemental and empathetic approach.
