I have participated in the field for 15 years with various populations. I coupled a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from St. Joseph’s College of Maine with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Maine. As a social worker, I pride myself on being a great listener and having a really genuine personality.
My approach with clients is to work collaboratively in creative ways to cope with life stressors and traumas. Healing and mental health are different for each individual. The therapeutic process will help clients use coping skills that best fit their personality and goals. The support people need, is as varied as the reason they seek counseling.
