I work primarily with couples who feel stuck in their relationship. When a couple is in conflict, it can feel like being pulled in a downward spiral. The more one partner pushes, the more the other withdraws, causing the first to push harder, and the second to withdraw further. Both partners would do anything to get out, but as the cycle intensifies, emerging from this pattern begins to feel impossible. Thankfully, research tells us that it is possible not only to break free from this destructive cycle, but to transform it into a cycle of healing and love.
Whether conflict arises around communication, intimacy, affair recovery, parenting challenges, family planning decisions, or life transitions, my clients find that what was once a source of tension and conflict can become something that brings life and healing to each partner and to the relationship.
My therapeutic approach draws from Emotion Focused Therapy and uses tools from the Gottman Method to prioritize attachment, attunement, honesty, and healing of the whole person. I believe that people are good, that we are made for connection, and that interdependence is a strength. I would love to work with you. Send me a message today!

I work with couples who feel stuck in their relationship and who feel that they are missing one another. During our initial sessions, we will explore the cycle that you feel caught in. We will dive deeply into that cycle, exploring what feelings and unmet needs exist underneath the surface, and creating the safety required to express those needs to one another.

With couples, I primarily draw from Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and weave in other modalities as appropriate. EFT is one of the most effective forms of couples therapy, with studies showing that 90 percent of couples achieve significant improvement in their relationship. EFT is much more than learning skills - it uses the science of attachment to heal the relationship from the bottom up.
