Therapy is a lot like cutting an onion - it has many layers, and usually makes you cry." What else can I say about therapy that you haven't heard before? So let me tell you about me, which is why you are here - to see if we are a good fit, right? I specialize in impulse disorders such as ADHD, OCD, Autism and PTSD/trauma, which of course all include anxiety and depression. I've worked in every corner of the field from criminal justice to homeless outreach to in-home services. I also love animals (especially my 5 at home), crafting ALL the things, referencing stand-up comedy, and being a proud member of every sci-fi fandom there is.
I don't judge, give unsolicited advice, or pretend that I know what's 'better' for you. You're the only one who knows what it's like to live your life, after all. Together, we work on the goals that are important to you. I use techniques from CBT, ACT, and Narrative therapy (aka one therapeutic size does not fit all) along with a lot of psychoeducation.
