Many of us live day to day thinking, "that couldn't happen to me." Difficult things can and do pop up and derail our trajectory, putting incredibly tough barriers in areas where we had no difficulty before. I have spent much of my career working with people who, for one reason or another, have had their trajectory derailed and are working to get back on track. As difficult as it might be, looking for a therapist who is a good fit is one of the most important steps in the process of beginning to take your life back. I'm so glad you're here.
I have a particular interest in working with older adults. Much of my specialized experience is from eight years of working in the community mental health field, helping those with severe mental illness navigate their lives independently. I found that older folks with cognitive decline or persistent mental health concerns have a special place in my heart.
I would love to meet for an intro session to see what we might be able to accomplish together. I personally have had some incredible personal growth through difficult times, and know personally that adversity can fuel forward momentum. Regaining confidence and beginning to thrive in the face of barriers is something I believe everyone can achieve.
