I have dedicated my career to helping children, adolescents, and adults experiencing emotional and behavioral mental health challenges. I specialize in treating child and adolescent Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder (CD), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (AD/HD), anxiety disorders, adjustment disorders, and depression. I am a researcher/clinician, having worked at UC Berkeley for a number of years. Thus, I believe in a research-informed assessment and therapy process.
My therapeutic orientation is grounded in cognitive-behavioral techniques, and I don't believe you need to be in therapy forever. The time course for therapy is clearly defined. My therapy selection is guided by a thorough and comprehensive assessment process. I only use therapies that have solid research backing them and expect results; if not, we pivot!
