As a psychologist at Pewter Therapy Services, I am passionate about helping queer college students and young professionals learn how to process narratives about themselves, the emotions that make them feel “out of control” or “completely disconnected”, barriers to fulfilling relationships and good communication, and their relationship with real rest and self-care. Together, we unpack messages rooted in family dynamics, identity messages, and larger societal narratives adding to the distress that’s been weighing you down. This approach contributes to my specialization in anxiety, depression, trauma, and LGBTQIA+ affirmative care.
My goal is for therapy to feel like a warm, trusting consultation between two experts: I know how to reframe a situation or help alleviate your distress as we talk, and you are the expert of your own life and motivations for real change. This approach is also essential for good multicultural work, so you can feel heard and respected in all your identities.
It’s important to me that therapy is easily accessible (with no worries about traffic or parking!), so I offer sessions through HIPAA-compliant video chat. As a member of PsyPact, I can also see clients in 40 US states - perfect for frequent travelers, out-of-state college students, and anyone making a big cross-country move!
