I am a clinical psychologist specializing in trauma treatment with adolescents and adults in Westport, CT. Traditional psychotherapy approaches often come up short in healing trauma, as traumatic memories live in the body. I am a certified Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and EMDR practitioner. Both modalities that address stuck thoughts, physical sensations and memories related to trauma. If you are someone who has gained valuable insight from psychotherapy but continues to repeat familiar patterns or relive past experiences, these treatments may be helpful to you.
My style is collaborative and curious. I have extensive experience helping individuals who have survived childhood trauma feel more engaged in their lives and connected in their relationships. I also have extensive experience working with members of the LGBTQ community and individuals living with or affected by HIV/AIDS.
I provide comprehensive psychological and psycho-educational assessment for children (ages 5-18) and adults. I help patients clarify the questions they hope testing will answer and feel empowered throughout the testing process. I ensure that my recommendations are understood through a readable written report as well as verbal feedback.
