Parenthood or trying to become a parent does not always look how we think it should. Struggling with the pain of infertility or pregnancy loss can lead to feelings of shame and self-doubt. You have probably tried everything and feel like you have failed. It is isolating and can distance you from your family and friends. Other times, it is incredibly hard once baby is here. You may be feeling depressed, anxious, and having thoughts about being a bad parent. The journey we walk towards parenthood can be immense and overwhelming. It can feel so terrible, when all you want is to be the best parent to your baby.
My focus is supporting you and helping you through this challenging time. I will help you process the thoughts and feelings that are occupying your mind, preventing you from enjoying this moment. I am a certified perinatal mental health counselor. I use cognitive behavioral therapy with a focus on attachment to help you in this challenging time.
