During stressful times, constant worrying, anxiety, anger, and sadness surfaces and causes disruption with relationships, sleep, eating habits, and health. I strongly believe in the mind and body connection and, with help, stress can be an opportunity for emotional growth. I utilize my clinical experience and evidence-based therapeutic interventions to motivate clients and families towards their own emotional growth. I tailor various therapeutic approaches according to what works for my client and what my client needs to meet their goals.
I specialize in working with children, youth, adults, couples with and without learning and/or developmental disabilities (ADD/ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, etc.), with various presenting issues, such as, trauma, bereavement, self-emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, adjusting to an illness and/or disability, and marital discord.
My background is in behavioral interventions. I gravitate to interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, working on certification for PCIT.
