I work with adults at all stages who express concerns with depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, relationship difficulties, and adjustment challenges to loss or life transitions. My approach to therapy is very non-judgmental and de-stigmatizing, which tends to help lower defensiveness and enable honest self-reflection. The psychological safety to reflect on deep seated trauma wounds, difficult emotions, or toxic shame is paramount to healing because they are often the primary drivers of most mental health symptoms and unwanted behaviors.
I draw from many therapy styles that are trauma-informed, attachment based, and emphasize building a connection to one's body and emotions. These including Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), which brings a more relational emphasis to exploring vulnerabilities together, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Somatic (body-focused) therapies.
Many clients report relief to have a therapeutic safe space where they can be curious, rather than guarded, to explore vulnerable or painful areas. They appreciate the space to build a capacity to reflect honestly on their challenges and to process difficult emotions in a constructive manner.
