Welcome! Sometimes we need support navigating tough times, processing past experiences or unpacking life stressors. Our thoughts alone can be extremely overwhelming at times. My therapeutic approach is genuine, interactive, direct, and easy-going with a mix of humor.

I am most passionate about working with teens and adults who are experiencing low self-worth, anxiety, trauma recovery, perfectionist tendencies, navigating body image/post-eating disorder journeys, as well as support through divorce or other challenging life transitions.
You deserve to feel better! Therapy does not always mean you are in crisis; we all need support from time to time in navigating life’s more challenging paths. I believe that therapy provides a judgment-free space for a person to build a safe relationship in which you can be real, be honest, and work together with your therapist to heal, grow, learn a bit more about yourself, and hopefully laugh along the way!

I am experienced in treating a wide variety of problems, including anxiety, depression, and PTSD.
I offer counseling services to children, adolescents, and adults. I strive to establish a therapeutic relationship in which each individual feels safe to explore their thoughts, feelings, and needs, and to walk with them on their journey to healing. Life gets complicated, and can be painful at times. We all need someone to talk to. Whether its current situational problems or deeply rooted underlying issues that one wants to resolve, it is my honor to help.

These are the energetic forces we activate to move past such clinical diagnoses as depression and/or anxiety, trauma and/or addiction, loneliness and/or loss.
Thirty years of practice taught me that therapy can be more than empathic listening and supportive talk but an active vehicle of empowerment and change. I have combined my foundational training in structural family and narrative therapies with the depth orientation of mindful insight and the action techniques of cognitive behaviorism. Working with individuals, couples/families, we collaborate to identify the patterns that reinforce relational conflict ("structures") and the repetitive stories told and heard about personal limitations ("narratives"). Then, with our combined wisdoms, we rewrite the script(s) to include greater meaning and motivation, humor and hope, compassion and clarity.
