Please note that I am currently at capacity and unable to accept new patients at this time. There is wisdom in the ways we adapt to our environments, but they do not always serve us in the present moment. My aim is to help people identify their adaptive patterns and view them with compassion, while also learning what to hold and what to let go. As a neurobiological informed therapist, I aim to help people move from judgement, shame and isolation to curiosity, acceptance and connection.

If I were looking for a therapist; I'd be hunting for the person that would listen & reflect on what they heard; offer advice that aligned with the problems presented, and challenge me to expand my perspective. I would want them to respect my beliefs and values; and provide authentic, life-giving examples to apply to my situation - using layman's terms and not their medical terminology vocabulary; but through their heart. Lastly, they would have to be funny and make me laugh through my pain. If that's you, reach out to me and we'll chat to determine if we align and could work well together!

Welcome. Life can present challenges that we need help navigating and this can be especially true when we experience trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, disconnection from ourselves, our purpose, our loved ones or a general stuckness. My work is to help you identify what needs attention and healing so you can change unhelpful patterns of thinking, feeling, and behaving that hold you back. I believe this process can lead you to clearer, more loving understanding of yourself that allows you to shift in profound, sometime surprising ways. I'd be honored to guide you in this, so if it feels right please reach out and let's connect.

I wholly believe we all have capacity for growth, regardless of where we begin. Life is fluid and people are not diagnostic labels, contrary to what social media would tell you. People are much more complex than a handful of symptoms on a Tik Tok video. Because of this, I utilize an integrative model in my work, incorporating different therapeutic styles depending on the client and the circumstances. My basic approach is psychodynamic in nature - helping you to understand what has happened in your life so you can better see the patterns that are no longer serving you, and identifying actions with you to change them.

I enjoy working with people who find themselves at a fork in the road; at that place in life where they are ready to act or think differently or find themselves struggling to function when life becomes different. I have a passion for supporting cancer survivors and their families throughout the many stages of treatment including diagnosis, treatment, recovery, survivorship and grief. I also have spent a great deal of my career working with neurodivergent folks navigating the unique challenges of functioning in a neurotypical world. If any of this resonates with you, we may be a good fit.

Profile is up to date as of 6/27/24. I believe that people's emotional health is based upon a variety of factors including their biological make-up, the environment, relationships, and events from their upbringing. People develop beliefs to make their way in the world, and apply these beliefs as they function in their present day to day lives. Problems may result when beliefs that were once useful no longer make sense. Through therapy, it is my job to help people bring these beliefs into consciousness, so that they may then be modified to better fit the present.

Living with a serious neurodegenerative illness, like Parkinson’s Disease, MS, and strokes often comes with a progressive cascade of losses, which then demand attention and call for solutions. Ever-changing symptoms can become exhausting, overwhelming, and isolating for both the person with the diagnosis and their care partners. I understand the physical realities of your diagnosis and the emotional experiences that can come with such serious diagnoses. When we bring our whole-selves to the equation, we can often untangle the knotted bits and make sense of how to use what we have, constructively and beautifully.

I help women who have been negatively affected by trauma and other adverse experiences. The women I work with struggle with self doubt, overwhelm, and anxiety. I build real connections with my clients and support them in finding their own strength and resilience. Through our work together we will facilitate healing and change. Nothing gives me greater satisfaction than watching women realize that they are stronger than they believe and that they can heal.
