I currently work with teens, adults, couples, and families.
Are you feeling discouraged, stressed, or looking for a life change? It is not unusual to find yourself stuck in a situation. Many life events may affect your feelings such as divorce/separation, financial trouble, sexuality issues or a career change. Solutions to your problems may be difficult to achieve alone; therefore, I would like the opportunity to help you with exploring options to make your life better. Utilizing a cognitive-behavioral approach can contribute to creating the difference you deserve. Together, we can create positive change and growth in your life.

I provide a thoughtful and sensitive approach to individuals, couples and groups dealing with issues related to: Anxiety Disorders, Depression, Relationships, Personality Disorder, Trauma, Couples Issue and more.
Therapy is not a "one size fits all." Each person is unique, individual, autonomous and complex, we all face situations in a particular way, and that is why when going to a professional, care must be personalized for each individual.

I will partner with you in getting to the root causes of your symptoms, learning how to cope or recover, while motivating and empowering you to reach your optimal mental wellness. I am accepting new clients and can get you on the schedule within the week. If you are ready for something different, give me a call today.

Stages of Treatment: (1) Building the therapeutic relationship and identifying the problem(s) (2) Breaking down the problem: strengthening self awareness, and finding inconsistencies/contradictions, that weaken the problems significance (3) Creating a preferred way for clients to relate to themselves.
I am honored to be entrusted with your story and am excited to coauthor this journey with you. My name is Alyson Davis and I believe in the power of storytelling. It is my understanding that the most powerful story we tell ourselves is our personal narrative. I began practicing therapy in 2015 with the primary goal to support individuals with suicidal thoughts, intrusive ideas, hopelessness and despair. This support is rooted in the knowledge that life's storms are impermanent and have the option of either contributing to either our growth, or our destruction. We get to make that choice.

Couples Counseling Therapists

Does couples counseling work?

Research shows that couples counseling is effective; it can reduce relationship distress and improve emotional awareness, communication, empathy, intimacy, and overall relationship satisfaction. For example, emotionally focused therapy was found to be effective for about 75 percent of couples, and those benefits lasted at least two years.

When should a couple seek counseling?

Couples can benefit from counseling if they consistently struggle in their relationship. They may have lost the ability to communicate effectively, become entrenched in harmful patterns, begun to fight more than usual, broken the other’s trust, suffered from a mental or physical illness, or faced any number of other challenges. Many therapists offer free consultations, so if a couple isn’t sure whether therapy is necessary, asking directly can provide clarity.

How can I get my partner to go to couples therapy?

The decision to seek couples therapy is often driven by one partner, who then convinces the other to participate. When discussing the idea, the initiator should be direct and assertive. They can state the problems they see and explain how the relationship would benefit from therapy. In more serious cases, they can also explain how their relationship may suffer without making any changes or seeking professional help.

How does a couple prepare for couples counseling?

The anticipation of beginning couples counseling can be difficult—sometimes more difficult than the first session itself. Taking a few moments to reflect can allay those concerns: What are the current challenges? When and how did they begin? What do they want the relationship to look like in the future? Reflecting on these questions can help individuals or couples articulate their goals. Of course, the therapist will also ask questions and guide couples through the process.
