Life's journey can be difficult at times and we may need the support of a professional who can assist us in seeing things from another perspective and finding ways to move forward. I commend you for taking this first step to getting the support you need and deserve at this time in your life.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most essential element in the healing process.
Life isn't always easy! Sometimes, even the strongest people amongst us need a little bit of help to work through some of life's more challenging problems. Everyone has battles to fight and hurdles to overcome at some point. Whether you struggle with depression, anxiety, self-esteem, difficult life transitions, trauma, or any other issue, you should know that there is hope for a better tomorrow. I view my role as the therapist as being a conduit of light that gently guides you to discover a life fully lived --- with more happiness, purpose, and passion.

I work with individuals and couples who present with a variety of mental health concerns including stress and anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, grief/loss, eating disorders, life transitions, and LGBTQ issues.
It is imperative for me to provide my clients with a warm, safe, and comfortable therapeutic space in which they will be invited to share, explore, and grow. Building a healthy collaborative relationship with my clients provides a foundation for our work together. I not only seek to alleviate symptoms and foster self-understanding, but I also encourage my clients to learn from their symptoms. I have found that increasing one's sense of awareness and balance can be helpful in many situations. At the same time, I do my best to meet clients where they are in their lives and work at their pace.

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
