I am a licensed therapist approved by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists to practice in the state of Maryland. I have many years of experience working with a multicultural and humanistic perspective in holistic wellness. I provide a client-centered approach while utilizing a Humanistic Perspective, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and multiple modalities to treat multiple mental and behavioral health needs to different ethnic groups, sexual orientations, and genders.

Our practice consists of a team of licensed Drs, therapists, and social workers working together to provide the best mental healthcare services to our patients. I am currently expanding my practice, so I have availability in no more than a week. I have worked as a mental health provider for more than 16 years, working with people experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma and other challenges. My office provides a positive atmosphere in which you can learn more about yourself, meet your goals and work toward increased happiness. In my 26 years of practice I have helped adults, children and teens overcome a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, anger problems and alcohol/drug addictions using traditional (cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic psychotherapy) and non-traditional (Eastern philosophy and meditation, and art therapy) methods. I believe that all people have the ability to help themselves, but sometimes due to overwhelming life circumstances, hardships, and crises; they become "stuck."

I incorporate Geek and Nerd culture into both my individual therapy and my group therapy! I believe that nerdy interests can help us make sense of the world just like music or art. I treat both individual clients as well as run Therapeauticallly Applied- Role Playing Game Social Skills groups!

My professional career began in 1978, on the Clinical Faculty of Harvard Med School’ Dept of Psychiatry. Over the years, I’ve continued training in emerging evidence-based treatments enabling me to provide an empathetic, eclectic approach to my work with Adult, Child, and Active Duty Clients & Families in outpatient, inpatient, school and Military settings.

I believe in the inseparable aspects of mental wellness and healthy lifestyle changes as each complements the other. We offer a blend of therapeutic services aimed at integrating mental health techniques with lifestyle changes. I work with parents with children with behavioral problems and attend EIP meetings to support parents. The program offers medication management.
