Self care makes you feel superstitious. You aren’t opposed to therapy per se rather you are agnostic regarding your ‘healing.’ Re-telling the origin story of your pain again bores you, you figure that’s a definite red flag to recovery. Mindfulness exercises are interesting but not life-changing. Like carnival rides they are too short and have nothing to do with your real world. Years ago talk therapy felt as deep as dishwater, uncomfortable and without an endgame. You wonder if you are impervious to therapy, an idea that leaves you deflated.

There are a multitude of losses in a person's life, of which the loss of a loved one through death is just one. Often, we find ourselves struggling because we do not realize that we can mourn the loss of a pregnancy, a pet, a dream, or any other number of tangible or intangible things. While grief and mourning are natural processes, sometimes we need additional support and companionship along the way - someone able to create and maintain a safe and welcoming space for the intense emotions the grieving process may entail.

I work with adolescents and adults who are seeking counseling for a variety of reasons, such as healing from trauma, PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, life transitions/adjustment, relationship issues, suicidal ideation and self-harm, LGBTQ+ issues, behavioral issues, emotional dysregulation, self-esteem, and self-exploration. Starting therapy is intimidating, so I like to start with building a trusting and collaborative relationship that will help empower clients in their healing process. The human experience can be difficult to navigate so It is my goal to provide a safe space where clients don’t have to face it alone.
