I offer talk therapy, brainspotting, and am a board certified supervisor for clinicians looking for supervision.
I feel that everyone has the ability to change their life for the better when the conditions and time align. It is my belief that there are real reasons that we act and react in the ways that we do. Sometimes those patterns and reactions continue even after the original reason is no longer present. My goals as your therapist are first to provide a safe, authentic and judgment free environment where you will be able to explore and work through those difficult parts of your life, and then to support and gently guide you on your journey to better living.

For people interested in exploring their concerns in greater depth, I offer transformative approaches, including Coherence Therapy, Brainspotting and parts work.
During stressful times, it's easy to lose your bearings and feel at sea. While family or friends can offer support, sometimes you need a different kind of help. That's when working with a therapist can make a difference. For close to two decades, I've been helping people restore hope and get back to feeling like themselves again.

To do so, I pull from a variety of modalities including IFS, Brainspotting and trauma-informed CBT, as well as incorporate techniques from positive psychology and wellness-based strategies.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or sad, know that reaching out for help is the first step towards healing. I understand that stressors, losses and transitions can easily become overwhelming, and I can help you address the anxiety and negativity brought on during challenging times. My training in trauma, grief & loss, cultural diversity and spirituality provides me with tools to help you explore what may be compounding or affecting your difficulties. I have particular interest in helping women address unique challenges complicated by societal expectations, multiple roles, and life cycle changes.

Using IFS, brainspotting, & mindfulness, I will both teach you skills to help you manage your emotions & help you heal your trauma from deep within so that you can finally forgive yourself, let go, and find peace.
Are you wanting to heal from your past but feeling frozen by hurt and shame? Perhaps you keep trying to change but feel trapped by beliefs that you are not good enough, not loved. You’re trying to be a better partner, parent, and friend, and you keep giving to others, but get nothing in return. You feel alone, exhausted, and both desperate and terrified for someone to actually see you. A part of you wants to give up and shut yourself away, but another part keeps going each day. A part of you knows that there is more to life than this. A part of you has hope that things can be different, that you can be different.

I am an out and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community! I am also a pagan therapist who enjoys utilizing tarot, crystals, and brainspotting in my practice. The question I get asked the most is, "isn't pagan evil?" The easy answer is no; pagan is a term used for anyone who does not subscribe to a "traditional" religion. I prefer nature-based practices, and while I am open to working with anyone, I enjoy working with those who are open-minded and looking for a new experience with therapy. If you have questions send me an email I would love to discuss incorporating alternative therapies.

My approach to treatment includes Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, and Adlerian therapy.
You may find yourself worrying about many different things at once. It may feel as though you are unable to get a hold of the worry, no matter how hard you try. Maybe you continue to perform your daily tasks but feel exhausted and irritated most days. Perhaps your days feel never-ending, and the energy you've once had to enjoy your relationships, hobbies, and interests is non-existent. Maybe you want to feel grounded, focused, and energetic again. You may want to master a work-life balance that allows you to be completely present in your life.

Rebecca uses Brainspotting, Polyvagal Theory and Trauma Informed Yoga techniques into therapy.
The journey to parenthood can be a scary and isolating time. Societal stigma, limited access to maternal health services, economic hardships and absence of 'a Village' all contribute to an increased sense of anxiety and depression during the perinatal time period. For this reason, mental health and patient advocacy services are more needed than ever during this transitionary period in life. Based on her own experiences with infertility and prenatal loss, Rebecca has become driven to provide empathetic, trauma informed care to individuals going through all stages of parenthood ranging from pre-conception to postpartum parenting.

Also, EMDR and Brainspotting have a powerful body and mind connection to help you process the emotions and symptoms that have been bothering you!.
Are you feeling overwhelmed by the constant barrage of thoughts racing through your mind? Have you ever felt like no matter how hard you try, you just can't seem to stay focused on one task? Do you often find yourself starting projects with great enthusiasm, only to lose interest and move on to something else before finishing? If these experiences sound familiar, you may be dealing with ADHD. It can be frustrating to feel like you're always falling behind or not living up to your potential. You want to succeed, to be productive and organized, and to maintain meaningful relationships without the constant feeling of chaos.

I know that you have a "pretty good" life. Perhaps you have done some work in therapy before, and things are finally stable. Yet, you sometimes feel like you are playing a part, rather than embracing and expressing your authentic self. You may feel uncomfortable in your own skin, self-conscious, or like you are not "enough." You may struggle to find your authentic voice and honor your values in your relationships or career. Life circumstances, societal pressures, past trauma, depression, and anxiety can all create obstacles to experiencing inner peace, trust, and confidence.

It is my personal belief that everyone deserves a safe, non-judgmental space to unravel their thoughts and be present in the moment. With all of the aspects of day-to-day life that keep us occupied, I hope that I can help you take a moment (or several moments) for yourself (and/or your partner) that you very much deserve. My goal is to listen to my client's personal experiences and use that to shape the person you want to be- or the person you already are, just the most authentic version of yourself. Everyone's experience that brings a client to therapy is unique and our goals together will always be unique to your growth.

Brainspotting Therapists

How does brainspotting work?

Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?

Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?

Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?

A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
