My name is Sean Winslow, I’m a graduate of Simmons University of Boston and I’d like to offer to be that person for you. My focus is to help those hoping to overcome the challenges associated with depression, anxiety, life transitions, and strategies for adapting to our ever-changing lives.

Not all therapists are the same. I help my clients find practical solutions to the issues facing them, and together we find ways to change the patterns behind these issues. Whether depression, anxiety, or dealing with a difficult life event, the situations facing us can feel overwhelming. For over 15 years I've empowered children, families, and adults as they move toward their goals. I am experienced in school and community settings, as well as inpatient, and I enjoy working with people of all backgrounds and orientations.

Choosing a psychotherapist can be a challenging process and we often find ourselves doing it when we are already stressed. I strive to create a tranquil, accepting atmosphere in my work, while my patients also say they enjoy the laughter that we can sometimes find in the midst of our explorations. My approach focuses on identifying patients' existing strengths and increasing their capacities to cope with stress so as to lead more satisfying lives. I take a "best-tool-for-the-job," integrative approach, drawing from a range of psychotherapeutic orientations, all supported by solid science.

I work with people experiencing anxiety, directionlessness and disconnection. I utilize Western, more traditional modalities to address anxiety and depression, as well as Buddhist concepts and approaches to dive into topics such as lack of direction, struggling with overwhelming emotions, and creating an internal sense of calm and peace, regardless of what is happening in your family, at work, or in romantic relationships.
