Neuropsychology is the study of the brain and behavior. A neuropsychological assessment involves an interview and testing to identify and quantify areas of strength and possible impairment. I conduct neuropsychological evaluations to assess for traumatic brain injury, dementia, and ADHD, as well as many other conditions. I also have an extensive clinical and research background in cognitive rehabilitation (e.g., memory strategy development, problem-solving). In addition to conducting evaluations, I also work closely with clients to develop strategies to increase their functioning and enhance mood.
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology at the University of Arizona. I then worked at the Boston VA Hospital for 3 years, where I worked with Veterans of all ages. I also worked with children in schools and hospitals. I was a Clinical Fellow at Harvard University Medical School and a Research Fellow at the Boston University School of Medicine.
In addition to assessments, I provide therapy for individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, stress, and life transitions. I also work with individuals with a head injury to identify the best scientifically-supported strategies to improve functioning.
