That said, fear and anxiety may be lessened when a person is not facing the life challenges alone. Cultivating the strength, self-awareness and resilience to weather the terrible times may also extend one’s capacity to fully embrace the beauty of growth, love, joy, hope, healing.
I have 35 years of experience as a psychotherapist, and now work also in healthcare chaplaincy. My approach to therapy is holistic - valuing the interweaving of interpersonal, emotional, cognitive and spiritual aspects of human experiences - including loss or grief related to unexpected or unwanted life transitions.
