I believe that aspects unique to each family system (i.e., attachment, multigenerational processes, cultural/spiritual beliefs) are some of the key indicators of an individual’s personal life experience and the development of their identity. All of these things contribute to the way that we interact and connect with others, which makes relationships complex, and sometimes difficult to navigate. My areas of focus include perinatal mental health related issues, attachment injury repair, and navigating phase of life transitions.
I specialize in helping individuals, couples, and families navigate and process various life stressors that may be contributing to dysfunction within their system. I use an emotionally-focused approach to explore current patterns, facilitate and enhance connection, and implement new patterns of communication that align with achieving their therapy goals.
Beginning the journey of self-reflection and vulnerability can be scary. It is my hope to create a safe environment in therapy for the exploration of each member's thoughts, feelings, and beliefs, as well as foster a felt sense of support, acceptance, and connection within your system.
