I provide a safe and supportive environment for clients to share and feel heard. Every client has his or her unique way of relating to others and learning, which impacts what kind of therapy, will be effective. I come alongside my clients to explore, encourage, and support them in the therapeutic process while developing skills to take with them as they continue on their own personal journey. I utilize different theoretical concepts including Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Acceptance/Commitment (ACT) Solution Focus and Play/Art therapies, while consistently viewing clients through the lens of developmental stages and attachment styles.
I work with all people regardless of gender, race, ethnicity, age, spiritual beliefs, economic status or sexual orientation. I specialize in children of all ages, adolescents and families. I also work with individual adults who are experiencing depression, anxiety, life cycle changes and have experienced trauma.
I specialize in attachment, grief/loss, trauma, play therapy, and integration of faith in therapy. Skill sets I encourage in treatment include: restructuring insecure attachment styles, establishing and maintaining practical boundaries, effective communication, restructuring self-concepts, anger management, coping skills, and positive parenting.
