Hi! My name is Maximillian Hamke (I go by "Max"). I have helped children, adolescents, and adults from a wide range of backgrounds. I specialize in person-centered counseling and emphasize the importance of empathy in the counseling experience. I will do my best to listen and understand you and your situation. Whether that be anxiety, depression, marital problems, career concerns, low self-esteem, burnout, or any number of other concerns, I am willing to hear you out and work collaboratively towards finding a path forward. As an ALC, I am under the supervision of Chris DaSambiagio-Moore, Ph.D., LPC-S.

While I am integrative in nature, I specialize in person-centered counseling and emotion focused work. My goal is to aid clients in making meaning of the past, gaining insight into the present, and building hope for the future. I offer a safe space to share the things that are on your mind and a listening ear free of judgement.

Sometimes the hardest part about life is thinking people don't understand you and/or your situation. It can feel discouraging to feel ignored or to think that people do not care about your struggles.
