The people with whom I work well are those who have a curiosity about themselves, and a willingness to be open to change. Feeling stuck or trapped in patterns in life is a common complaint. I frequently ask questions that allow people to reconsider what they assumed are life's "givens" and what is inhibiting them from achieving their potential. Together we will work towards unlocking your core energy. My therapeutic style is filled with respect, honesty, warmth, and humor.
In addition to my psychoanalytic practice with adolescents, couples, and adults, I provide individual supervision and consultation to therapists. I am on the faculty of Wright Institute Los Angeles and teach post graduate level clinical seminars for therapists in training.
Research has shown that what "works" in therapy is the quality of the relationship between the therapist and the patient. I am able to develop strong relationships in which my patients feel safe sharing and exploring their thoughts and feelings with me.
