Hi there, welcome to my profile! I have been working with adults with mental health and substance abuse issues for nearly 5 years. Prior to this, I served as a counselor to children with developmental disabilities and their families. My approach with clients is very empathetic and client centered. I think of myself as a guide who provides a safe and affirmative space for people to explore feelings and thoughts they might otherwise not reveal or share with others. In this way, I believe that the client-therapist relationship can create a launching point to help clients create the changes they want in their lives.

Currently I serve as an outpatient counselor in a hospital to adults with a variety of challenges such as substance abuse, domestic violence, trauma, mood disorders, anxiety and depression. Previously, I worked with adults with substance abuse issues and mental health diagnoses in an outpatient community mental health setting.

I am open to working with clients who are focusing on sobriety/substance abuse as well as those suffering from loneliness, depression, isolation, anxiety or are going through a transition. Please feel free to message me if you have any questions and we can explore working together!
