My background in the health care field - nursing degree from Georgetown University and clinical work at Sloan Kettering Cancer Center- contributes to my understanding of mental health difficulties as a combination of biological, social, and psychological factors. I have experience working with children, adolescents, adults and veterans with a range of psychological and medical issues including anxiety, depression, anger management, substance abuse, eating disorders, and chronic illness. I am specially trained in treating PTSD and have worked with victims of trauma due to war, sexual or childhood abuse.
