I have 30 years of experience, skills, knowledge, and education in the areas of Social Work, and mental health. I am experienced in evidenced-based practices, trauma-focused treatment, and solution-focused brief therapy. I provide the following services: Individual therapy, family therapy/co-parenting therapy, children's therapy, and divorce therapy. I also provide supervision hours for unlicensed MSW'S and MFT'S.
I have experience working with clients with mental illness, Veterans, survivors of sexual assault/abuse. I also have experience facilitating therapy groups for persons with chronic mental illness and persons who are having difficulty coping with life stressors. I provide therapy for persons with relationship issues. I have experience working with older adults ages 65+.
In practice, I consider a clients family of origin and how the family impacts the persons life, how they view the world, and relate to others whether at home/work/school. I also consider unresolved grief and trauma histories in my treatment approach. Also considered in treatment are cultural strengths/ differences when approaching life issues.
