As a therapist in private practice for over 30 years, I provide an integrative perspective in a safe and caring environment. I work with people who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relational issues, addiction, trauma, and stressors that might feel overwhelming. My backround in addiction, teaching, and counseling at both the high school and university level, as well as in-patient and out patient psychiatric provide me with a holistic, caring and empathic sensibility. I am available for both short term as well as long term work.
My areas of interest include mood disorders, stress-related issues, relational issues, addiction, eating disorders and trauma. I approach my work from a relational, psychodynamic, as well as a mind/body perspective. My backround in DBT, MBSR, as well as my interest in somatic issues, also inform my work.
My training includes psychodynamic psychotherapy, couples therapy, dbt, chemical dependency, eating disorders, mindfulness and meditation, and other mind-body practices.
