For many of us, therapy provides a rare opportunity to slow down and spend time with the parts of life that are often neglected. Our busy, modern world rarely gives us this space automatically, so many of us seek out therapy because something in our lives is requiring slowness, care, and presence. Maybe you are at sea amidst change or grief. Perhaps your relationship with sex and your body has become complicated or you are feeling distant from yourself. In my own life, giving space to understand, without judgment, what is happening on an emotional level has offered me room to grow with more acceptance and gentleness.
I believe the quality of our relationships and the stories we tell ourselves can be two guiding lights as we consider how we want to live. I strive to make therapy collaborative and creative – a place in which you might feel empowered to embrace change and own the healing you are seeking.
